Cheeseburger Sliders

These sliders are a super quick and easy weeknight dinner. We like to do “Slider Sundays” during football season, which allowed for me to experiment with a lot of different slider creations.

What I love about this variation of slider is that it allows for a lot of creativity and personalization. You can put different toppings or sauces on the side, but the bulk of the work is pretty basic. This recipe also allows for you to use whatever variation of cheese you prefer, or in my case, have on hand. It also allows for the use of a different ground meat, if beef isn’t your preference.

The key to this recipe is the use of King’s Hawaiian Rolls. They slice easily and hold up well when loaded down with toppings.

Try this recipe for your next “Slider Sunday” when you are cheering on your favorite team, or when you just need a simple weeknight dinner!

Cheeseburger Sliders

Preheat oven to 350°F

  • 1 lb of ground beef or ground meat of your choice
  • 2-3 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 T yellow mustard
  • 1 T onion powder
  • 1 T black pepper
  • 1 12 pack of Hawaiian Rolls
  • 6 slices of cheese of your choice OR
  • 1 c shredded cheeseof your choice
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 1 T butter

Brown the meat in a pan on high heat. Once meat is almost cooked, add 2T of the Worcestershire, mustard, onion powder and black pepper. Mix and cook until done. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half and place bottom on a baking sheet. Top with the meat mixture and cheese of your choice. Place top buns over the mixture. Combine butter, remaining Worcestershire and brown sugar. Melt mixture and brush over the top of the rolls. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.

We usually eat this with sweet potato fries on the side, but they are plenty filling on their own!

Enjoy, xoxo!
